Message from Our Founder & MD

HR People First was built on one simple belief: when you truly look after your people, your business thrives.

My background in hospitality showed me just how fast-paced and people-driven businesses can be. I’ve seen first-hand the impact that strong leadership and the right support can have- and the cost when they’re missing. It also became clear that many growing businesses don’t need a full HR department, but rather the right guidance at the right time.

That insight led to the creation of HR People First Consultancy.

We provide tailored HR support that feels like a natural extension of your team, combining straightforward advice, compliant solutions, and honest conversations, without unnecessary complexity.

Outside of work, I’m a wife and mum to Lily and Leo who are my daily reminder that while business matters, people always come first.

And that’s the principle that underpins everything we do.

We work closely with business owners, offering practical, straightforward guidance that supports both their people and their business. At the same time, we hold ourselves to the same standards we help our clients build — honest, consistent, and people-focused.

HR People First was founded with a clear mission: to deliver people-first HR support tailored to real businesses.

What HR retainer packages do you offer?
We offer three monthly retainer packages — Silver (from £99/month), Gold (from £199/month), and Platinum (from £299/month). Each builds on the last: Gold adds onboarding, recruitment support, and quarterly meetings; Platinum adds HR policies, Employee Handbooks, HR Health Checks, Training & Development, and in-person visits.
Do you support businesses outside London?
Yes — while we are based in London (Islington, N1), we support small and growing businesses across the UK. Many of our clients operate nationwide and we provide HR advice and support remotely, as well as in person where needed.
Can I get HR support without a monthly retainer?
Yes. Our Flexible HR Support and Documentation Support packages are available on an ad hoc basis — ideal for businesses that need expert HR guidance without a long-term commitment. Get in touch to discuss what would work best for your business.
What is included in the HR Health Check?
Our HR Health Check is a comprehensive review of your current HR practices, documentation, and compliance. We identify risks, gaps, and opportunities, and provide clear, practical recommendations to help protect your business and your people.
